Authority of A Believer

We have to be vigilant and very much alert to be able to notice when the enemy strikes.

We have to be spiritually sensitive to all the schemes that Satan lay all around as we go about our day-day activities. The thief has come seeking to steal, kill and destroy – (John 10:10).  If anyone does not believe in Satan’ attacks, let him open his eyes to the tracks he leaves—broken homes and devastated families, prodigal sons, daughters, even fathers and mothers.

As a believer in Jesus Christ, you are given authority over Satan.

He is a defeated foe. However, Jesus does not prevent him from attacking believers. In John 12, Jesus reminds His disciples that Satan is a vanquished foe. Jesus said, “Now is the time for judgement on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out” – (John 12:31). After Jesus’ resurrection, Satan’s sentence was passed down. When Jesus returns, He will execute His judgement against Satan.

Satans future has been decided – what about yours…?

While there is no mistaking Satan’s future, your eternal future can be decided by committing your life to the ultimate Victor, the only One who offers eternal life, the one who death could not hold captive—Jesus Christ.

Prayer: God, I choose to commit my life to You for Your glory. Open my eyes to the signs of Satan’s attacks, give me the grace that I may seek Your help in defeating him. Strengthen me by the power of Your name, in the name of Jesus.

Amen.
