Your Enemy Is A Liar

“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons” (1 Timothy 4:1).

Satan diabolically uses lies to deceive God’s people. He appeals to our emotions and directs his attacks to a point of contention in our lives. For instance the saying “Half of all Christian marriages end in divorce”, but this does not have to be true of yours. You have to stand firm in your faith. If you are struggling, there is help. When you seek Him, God will provide a solution to your broken life.

“A new job is on the way and another contract will set you debt free”

Remember, God’s Truth that there is never a time when adultery is acceptable. Most often Satan attacks our weakness and makes it feel that we are undergoing attacks from our family members or friends so we personalize failure and attach faces to them. For instance, to those unhappy in their marriages, he will say: “You are having problems in your marriage, right? God wants you to be happy. The person you are with does not understand you. In fact, she doesn’t love you, she is not God’s choice for you, but your co-worker—the one who sits and listens to your every word and laughs at all your jokes—loves you. She will make you happy. This is a lie from “the pit of hell”
Stop accepting the lies of the enemy. If you feel that you have drifted from God in any area of your life, then you have to turn back to Him right now. Tell Him that you need His help. He is the “God of Wonder” There is hope for your future because Jesus lives.

Prayer: Lord, help me to stay focused on Your Truth. Fortify my heart with Your Word of life. Please forgive me for believing the lies of the enemy rather than seeking You to meet my needs. Help me to stand focussed on You alone this I pray in the name of Jesus.

Amen.

Your Service in God

“In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work” – (2 Tim 2:20-21)

Every creation of God (living or non-living) has a purpose tofulfil. Take the Sun for example; it is created by God to aid life on earth, though it is a great distance from earth. In fact, life on earth would be impossible without the sun fulfilling it’s purpose. Likewise, even though crude oil is some kilometres beneath sea level, the world today most certainly come to a standstill without the resources generated from it.

If these things which are mentioned above, which are miles away from mankind’s abode have positive impact on our everyday life, how much more you. Created in God’s very own image! Be aware and understand that everyone born again has a mandate and a function, and therefore a gift. Your gift is according to your function, according to your mandate. God saved you for a purpose, He ordained you to be groomed and nurtured in a particular church; therein is a function and a gift for you.

Have you discovered what your gift is? Are you using it to fulfil your God given purpose secularly and spiritually? Nicholas Herman (picture above) discovered the presence of God whilst serving in the kitchen (washing dishes) doing seemingly a mundane task. The wisdom he acquired whilst serving as a kitchen help, attracted many from across the globe to seek spiritual counsel from him. God has record of every service rendered to Him from the heart; no matter how insignificant it may appear in the earthly realm.

Have you done anything lately to progress God’s mission on earth? If so with what heart of service did you do it? Remember, man may look at the outward, but God our Rewarder, looks at the heart.

Prayer: Lord You have created me for a purpose, take me from where I am into what you have created me to be. Help me to be alert in You and Your will and plan for my life. Help me to fulfil the destiny You have prepared fore me in Jesus name.

Cast Away Your Garment

Apostle PrayingBartimaeus cried out to Jesus for healing (from blindness). As soon as Jesus sent for him, the bible tells us he casted away his garment, rose up and came to Jesus! His garment must have been some type of hindrance that prevented him from getting to Jesus as fast as he wanted to. He therefore threw it away, rose and came to Jesus!

As children of God we have all been called in one way or another:

We have been called into the ministry of intercession (1 Tim. 2:1).
We have been called into the ministry of reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:18).
We have been called to be witnesses to God through the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8).

Friends, we need to cast away any and every hindrance. We are told in the following scripture to lay aside every sin that so easily besets us: Hebrews 12:1 – “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.”

The fact of the matter is that we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. We are the “bible” that some people read! Don’t let your life be the one that will so disgust people that they turn away from God. Set a good example and lay aside that sin that so easily besets. We are also told in the book of Matthew that we should cut off WHATEVER makes us sin:  Matthew 5:30 – “And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.”

Prayer: Father and Lord, help me uproot every tree that you have not planted in my life, make me a worthy book to be read by all.
