Set Free To Serve – Part 2

Set Free To Serve (2)

A Christian (follower of Christ) cannot be less than what the Bible says in Acts 4:32-35, “All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the Apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.”

This Scripture tells us that when God is enthroned in the midst of His people there cannot be any poor there. The reason is that those who had, took those who didn’t have and invested in them. From time to time those who owned land and houses sold them and brought the money before the apostles to be distributed among all. That was the way they could express their hearts of benevolence by selling off their [abundant] possessions to raise others. There was no needy person among them!

The church of God should be a place of provision and help.

The church, instead of the government, should be providing tokens and build affordable homes for members of the church. The church members should not be depending on the secular world to survive. It is the churches that should be setting up various industries and become big magnates, but you find that none is doing that in today’s world – this is a great concern.

Looking carefully at the whole thing again and again, one begins to wonder what exactly is responsible for this. There are several factors but behind them are demonic forces. It is therefore, an all out war against the powers that invade the destiny of man. It is demonic manipulation of the mind of a man that causes him to misbehave. Satan is a universal planner and very efficient in his delivery, but the only thing we can do to destroy his plans and works is to pray and walk according to God’s ordinances.

There is nothing prayer cannot do.

Prayer can repair any bad situation or condition as well as maintain a good one. Anything that is bad needs prayer and anything that is good needs more prayer. You might not have prayed a lot to attain a certain height but to sustain or increase such height, you would [definitely] need to pray more.

Prayer: Father, unite my heart with Your heart so I can succeed. Unite our hearts as a church with Your heart so Your church can succeed.

“The Law of the spirit of life does not work automatically. It must be activated.”

What are your first words when you face any form of affliction? Your first words in the face of affliction are extremely important and decisive of what happens next. The words you speak license spiritual laws to go into operation for or against you expressly. They either allow sin and death to take over or they activate the Spirit of Christ Jesus.

The moment those words come out of your mouth, one of the above laws is set in motion. Unless you do something to stop it, it will continue to function, growing stronger and stronger until it accomplishes a pre-designed outcome or result.

Thank God, as born-again believers, we’re in Him and as Romans 8:2 says “…because through Christ Jesus the law of Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death” Since life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21) – speak life over your situation all the time!

Prayer: Father, as a believer, direct me by Your Spirit to the place You have prepared for me. Open my eyes Lord to see the way that is right before You and guide the words that come out of my mouth in Jesus name.
