The Voice of God

The bible tells us that God speaks to His own to give them direction. God spoke to Abraham, Moses, Paul and many more audibly.
Whatever method God’s word comes to you, His word is always supported with the scripture. God is never a God of confusion, His word is the final authority and He has the final say.

“Today if you hear His voice do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion during the time of the testing in the wilderness…..” Hebrews 3:7-8

“The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; the Lord thunders over mighty waters; the voice of the Lord is powerful and the voice of the Lord is majestic” Psalm 29:3

What is God speaking to you about today? Remember that God will only speak to you in a way you will understand the intended message. Just see that you have an open heart and not a sinful one that turns away from the living God.

Prayer: Father help me to hear Your audible voice in my Life . Silence every storm that is aimed at distracting me from hearing You in Jesus name.

Cast Away Your Garment

Apostle PrayingBartimaeus cried out to Jesus for healing (from blindness). As soon as Jesus sent for him, the bible tells us he casted away his garment, rose up and came to Jesus! His garment must have been some type of hindrance that prevented him from getting to Jesus as fast as he wanted to. He therefore threw it away, rose and came to Jesus!

As children of God we have all been called in one way or another:

We have been called into the ministry of intercession (1 Tim. 2:1).
We have been called into the ministry of reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:18).
We have been called to be witnesses to God through the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8).

Friends, we need to cast away any and every hindrance. We are told in the following scripture to lay aside every sin that so easily besets us: Hebrews 12:1 – “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.”

The fact of the matter is that we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. We are the “bible” that some people read! Don’t let your life be the one that will so disgust people that they turn away from God. Set a good example and lay aside that sin that so easily besets. We are also told in the book of Matthew that we should cut off WHATEVER makes us sin:  Matthew 5:30 – “And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.”

Prayer: Father and Lord, help me uproot every tree that you have not planted in my life, make me a worthy book to be read by all.

Have no Confidence in the Flesh

Take a moment and reflect on this; are there things you need to stop putting your confidence in? Is your confidence upon your intelligence, your contacts, family or personal strength? Cursed is the person who depends on another being for strength. Such a person will not see prosperity when it comes knocking. Every opportunity to prosper from God will elude the person. This person will dwell in the perched places of the desert.

Beloved, life on a desert can be very difficult one and the consequencies of placing trust in man could be very dissastrous, regardless of whom they are, it leads to terrible dissapointments and failure. (Jeremiah 17}

When we start to do things God’s way instead of our own way, we experience great benefits. We have peace, freedom and awesome power..
Make up your mind today to place your confidence in the one and only God.

Prayer: Father this is the season of my favor, answer me, O Lord, and grant the request of my heart.
